Antoine Griezmann is on Manchester United’s radar for a potential transfer in January, according to Mundo Deportivo.
As it was communicated earlier, Atlético Madrid are trying to negotiate a lowering of the Frenchman’s fee with Barcelona. According to the deal agreed in the summer of 2021, Los Colchoneros would have to pay €40m at the end of the season to the Catalan side if Griezmann were to play 50% of the minutes he is available for.
With the 31-year-old only making appearances off the bench, it is believed that Manchester United would be interested in signing Griezmann this coming January.
The Premier League side are keen to offload Cristiano Ronaldo, who has been benched by Erik ten Hag for the last couple of games.
Nonetheless, if talks were to take place, Barcelona would also have to be involved in the negotiations alongside Atlético Madrid and Manchester United as technically he is still contracted with the Blaugrana.
