Barcelona head coach Xavi Hernández has this afternoon provided updates on the wellbeing of two key members of his squad.
Barca, of course, are currently in the process of going through their final preparations, for the club’s next outing.
Fresh off a pair of successive victories over Osasuna and Alavés, the Blaugrana will play host to Granada, hopeful of keeping their timely upturn in form alive.
In the buildup to the clash, Xavi and co. have been afforded a whole host of boosts on the personnel front, with Raphinha and Marc-André ter Stegen expected to mark their respective returns to the matchday setup.
Question marks, though, remained over two others, namely Ronald Araújo, and João Cancelo.
Speaking to the media in his pre-match press conference on Saturday, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of the wellbeing of his defensive duo was put to Barcelona’s headmaster.
And Xavi went on to confirm yet more good news, with both Araújo and Cancelo fit and available to feature against Granada tomorrow evening:
“Araujo and Cancelo are both fine,” the Spanish tactician began. “In the case of Cancelo, he is forcing. In this sense, it is exciting to see the commitment of the players.”
