Revealed: The Real Madrid fixtures Antonio Rüdiger will miss through injury

The list of fixtures expected to be missed by Real Madrid star Antonio Rüdiger owing to injury has been revealed this evening.

News of the latest personnel blow in Carlo Ancelotti’s defensive ranks, of course, was forthcoming this afternoon.

After being spotted back in training across the week to date, it was widely expected that the aforementioned Rüdiger would be reintroduced to Real’s XI for the club’s top of the table showdown with Girona on Saturday.

In turn, it came as a hefty blow upon word coming to the fore that, not only would the German in fact not take part, but he had been ruled out for an extended period.

As per a statement across the website and social media platforms of Los Blancos:

‘After the tests carried out today on our player Antonio Rüdiger by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a muscle injury in the vastus lateralis of his left thigh. Evolution pending.’

Rudiger’s latest problem, it has since been revealed, is expected to keep him on the sidelines for around two weeks.

This means that the former Chelsea man will be forced to sit out Real’s upcoming meetings with all of Girona, RB Leipzig, and Rayo Vallecano.

His status to face Sevilla, in addition, remains up in the air.
