Xavi completes 365 days at the helm of Barcelona

As of today, Xavi has been in charge of Barcelona for exactly a year, note AS.

Under his tenancy the Blaugrana have experienced highs and lows, including a 4-0 win at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu last season, as well as being knocked out of the Champions League group stages in two consecutive seasons.

Nonetheless, when we look at the numbers, Xavi has been fairing much better than his most recent predecessors.

Over the past 365 days, the 42-year-old has led Barcelona to 28 wins out of a possible of 39 games, putting his win percentage at 76.9% – higher than Ronald Koeman (58%), Quique Setién (64%), Ernesto Valverde (67%) and Luis Enrique (76.2%).

It appears as though that the club board are fully behind their former player. Unlike during the tenure of Koeman and Setién, supporters can see that Xavi is working on implementing an ideology and a philosophy of play that can translate into results.
