Williot Swedberg on the verge of move to Celta Vigo

Williot Swedberg (18) could become Celta Vigo’s first signing for next season.

Reports in Sweden say that the deal for €4.7 million has been closed, pending only the signing of the contract and the young player passing his medical.

The Swedish newspaper SportExpressen indicated yesterday in its digital edition that “Hammarby (the player’s current club) is now in full agreement with Celta on the terms of the agreement”, which will be made for just under €5 million.

The Swedish side also negotiated a future resale clause with Celta, according to the same source.

All indications are that the Swedish midfielder will receive a long-term contract at his new club.

As reported by Relevo, it was Celta sporting advisor Luis Campos’ decision to sign the player.

The announcement will be made official shortly and Swedberg will start pre-season with the rest of the squad.
