Vinicius very close to signing new deal with Real Madrid

Vinicius is very close to signing a contract extension with Real Madrid, according to Goal.

It will not be until 2028, as the club had hoped. According to people close to the negotiations, the agreement is 95% done, with some minor details to be ironed out.

His current deal ends in 2024. Vinicius preferred to sign a shorter deal than Madrid’s original hope of a six-year extension.

The 21-year-old’s intention has always been to stay at the Santiago Bernabéu.

After a spectacular season, it was necessary to ensure he improved his conditions for the coming years. His termination clause will be increased and there will be a significant increase in salary.

Vinicius is currently at the bottom of the Madrid wage scale on around €3.5 million per season.

In 2021/22, he scored 22 goals and provided 20 assists in a season that ended for him in the best possible way, with the goal that won Real Madrid their 14th Champions League.
