Valencia want to sign Arthur Melo from Juventus

According to close sources to the negotiations, Valencia are in talks with Juventus to sign Arthur Melo.

As reported by Mundo Deportivo, Valencia are trying to find an agreement to bring the Brazilian midfielder to the club.

Due to financial constraints, Los Che would only be able to sign Arthur on loan as they can’t afford to bring him back to La Liga permanently.

If he does end up going to Valencia, the club would need to free up spaces to meet league regulations on non-EU players. They are currently looking for ways to offload Samuel Lino, Marcos André and Maxi Gómez.

La Liga will not be unfamiliar territory for Arthur, having played for Barcelona between 2018 and 2020. In 2020 he was transferred to Juventus in a deal valued at €76 million, which saw Miralem Pjanić move in the other direction.

The 25-year-old has made 63 appearances for the Old Lady in all competitions.
