As broken by Fabrizio Romano, Valencia and Real Sociedad are leading the race to secure the services of Edinson Cavani.
Cavani has made it clear that he wants to play in La Liga and he has been linked with several clubs throughout the summer transfer window. He is currently discussing personal terms with his suitors.
Both Valencia and Real Sociedad are in the market for a new striker.
The Basque side sold Alexander Isak this week to Newcastle United for a fee believed to be in the region of €70m. They need an experienced forward who can lead the line. Real Sociedad could prove to be an attractive option for the Uruguayan as the club will be playing in the Europa League this season.
Valencia are also in talks with the 35-year-old. However, they would need to offload Maxi Gómez before they can sign Cavani in order to meet La Liga regulations.
