Nottingham Forest have submitted a bid for Renan Lodi, reports Fabrizio Romano.
The Premier League outfit have tabled an offer to sign the Brazilian full-back on loan for €5m for the upcoming season. They also want to include an option to buy clause in the agreement valued at €30m.
Discussions are set to continue in the next couple of days, but the two sides could arrive at a deal soon as Diego Simeone is currently not considering Rodi as a starter at Atléti. He prefers to deploy Yannick Carrasco as left-wing-back ahead of the Brazilian in the the starting XI. The Belgian poses a greater threat when Los Colchoneros attack on the counter.
Rodi arrived to Atlético Madrid from Athletico Paranaense in 2019. Over the last three years he made 118 appearances for the club in all competitions and was part of the team that won La Liga in 2021.
