‘This isn’t normal’ – Real Madrid fans turn on Vinícius Jr. during Roma clash

Supporters of La Liga giants Real Madrid have flooded to social media on Wednesday evening, to vent their collective frustration with attacking star Vinícius Jr.

This comes fresh off the Brazilian’s latest concerning individual showing…

Real Madrid are of course currently locked in action on the continent, in a Champions League meeting with Serie A high-flyers AS Roma.

Late in proceedings, José Mourinho’s troops find themselves in an alarming spot, trailing by three goals to one and headed for what would be a deserved defeat.

A whole host of the visitors’ star performers have struggled across the evening to date, with many looking lost and disjointed in Mourinho’s setup.

As alluded to above, though, none has been singled out for more widespread criticism than Vinícius Jr. On the same night in which he was hit with a four-match domestic ban, wide-man Vinícius was restored to Real Madrid’s starting XI at the Olimpico.

The 26-year-old, however, toiled in efforts to make a positive impact, repeatedly surrendering possession and failing to beat his man, before ultimately being hooked before the hour mark.

After he was directly at fault for Roma re-taking the lead early in the 2nd-half, the bubbling tension amongst those of a Blancos persuasion therefore exploded all at once, as Vinícius was torn to shreds by his own fans across the globe.
