Víctor Orta has replaced Monchi as the new Sevilla sporting director. And with Orta arriving from Leeds United, this has sparked rumours of forward Rodrigo Moreno being a target for Sevilla this summer.
Leeds recently suffered relegation to the Championship, which may spell the end of Rodrigo’s time with the Elland Road outfit. There is now increasing speculation that the forward could return to Spain for as little as €3.5m, according to MD, due to a relegation release clause in his contract.
During his official Sevilla presentation, Orta admitted to having spoken to Rodrigo, however, he insisted that was only to congratulate the Spain international on his success in the UEFA Nations League.
The 32-year-old previously played in La Liga with Valencia for six seasons where he featured 172 times, scoring 38 times and assisting 28 goals, as per FBref.
