Speaking to Gol after Sevilla’s 1-0 defeat to Athletic Club on Monday night, French defender Jules Koundé gave his thoughts on a disappointing night for his club.
“We’re very disappointed. The plan was to get closer to Atlético Madrid, we tried, we had chances but it wasn’t to be and they scored from a counter attack. It’s a pity. We wanted to win, there was no other option. We were lacking patience in and around the box. We didn’t finish well tonight. We could have done better. Mathematically we can win the league but it’s going to be very difficult.”
