Brazilian left-back Marcelo has travelled with the Real Madrid squad to London for their Champions League semi-final second leg after being released from election duty.
The veteran player had been at risk of missing the game due to being called up to monitor a local election in the Spanish capital. Marcelo went to the polling station in Madrid on Tuesday morning but was permitted to leave in order to travel with Zinedine Zidane’s team to England.
