Sergio Ramos believes signing Erling Haaland is more realistic for Real Madrid than a move for Kylian Mbappé

Speaking in a chat with Spanish Youtuber Ibai Llanos on Twitch, Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos discussed the potential signings of Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappé at Real Madrid.

Due to the circumstances at the moment, I think it would be easier to sign Haaland. I think at the end of the day, the one who perhaps is taking over from the likes of Cristiano, Messi and Neymar is Mbappé. I think the financial circumstances are more complicated and he is a player with who it might be difficult to reach an agreement with. But I don’t think it would be a bad idea for Real Madrid to strengthen the attack with a striker like Haaland,” Ramos said.

Haaland’s hunger to score goals, to win trophies, he might give us something which we don’t have. With his height, his pace and his goals, he’s a player who can bring a lot and improve the current Madrid team. That’s not to say that Mbappé wouldn’t be able to do that as well, of course, he could. But the way things are at the moment, it might be a bit easier to reach an agreement for Haaland.”
