Rodrigo De Paul in Atlético Madrid’s Champions League squad

Atlético Madrid travel to Belgium to face Club Brugge at the Jan Breydel Stadium in the third round of the Champions League group stage, with kick-off scheduled at 9pm local time.

As it was communicated by Marca, Rodrigo De Paul has been included in Los Colchoneros’ squad for the fixture. The 28-year-old remained in Argentina following the end of the international break with the permission of the club to stay with his father who is suffering from illness and to go to a musical gala with his partner in Miami.

He missed Atlético Madrid’s 2-0 victory against Sevilla, but will be available to make an appearance in Europe’s elite competition.

As it was reported yesterday, centre-back Felipe has suffered a muscle injury, meaning Diego Simeone won’t be able to field him against Brugge.

Thomas Lemar, who has been training with the group following his recovery, was not deemed fit enough just yet to make the trip to Belgium.
