Frenkie de Jong ruled out of Barcelona’s Champions League tie with Inter Milan

Frenkie de Jong will miss Barcelona’s Champions League match against Inter Milan on Tuesday.

Xavi has announced his Barcelona squad to travel to Milan for their third Group C game but De Jong has been left out of the squad due to injury.

De Jong suffered a thigh injury 10 days ago in the Nations League match between the Netherlands and Poland. The midfielder missed Barca’s match against Mallorca at the weekend.

Marc Casadó has been named in the squad. The youth team player was on the bench at Son Moix but did not take part as Alejandro Balde and Sergi Roberto covered the full-back roles with injuries to Jules Koundé, Ronald Araújo and Héctor Bellerín.

In addition to De Jong, Jules Koundé, Ronald Araújo, Héctor Bellerín and Memphis Depay all remain unavailable.
