As reported by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Real Sociedad are closing in on a deal to sign Sheraldo Becker from Union Berlin, with negotiations now described to be in the final stages.
This will be a permanent move for Becker, who is close to agreeing personal terms with the San Sebastián club. The forward will end his four-year spell at Union Berlin.
The 28-year-old was always likely to leave the club due to his contract expiring in the summer, however, Union decided to sell the player now so that they could receive a small fee during the winter transfer market. Real Sociedad have beaten off interest from the likes of Villarreal to secure the signature of the player.
Becker is yet to score a goal in the Bundesliga this season, although his form has been hindered by a variety of injuries. The La Liga outfit will be hoping they can reignite Becker’s form from last season when he got 18 goal contributions in the league.
