As reported by journalist Florian Plettenberg, Manchester United are interested in signing Barcelona ace Ronald Araújo. The defender is at the top of the list for the English club, who may have to wait until the summer before making a move for him.
United have enquired about the 24-year-old and have asked to be kept informed on the player’s situation. The club have already done background checks about the transfer fee and contract details.
The club received the same information as Bayern Munich, who also consider Araújo as a top target. Furthermore, the Uruguay international does not want to leave the Catalan club during the January transfer window, while Xavi views the player as a vital part of his project.
Erik ten Hag and Thomas Tuchel are admirers of the centre-back and would like their respective clubs to bring him in. Araújo has been impressive since his 2019 move to Camp Nou, cementing himself as one of the best players in his position.
