Real Madrid’s plans for Joselu’s future revealed after match-winning brace vs Getafe

An insight into the plans of the powers that be at Real Madrid for on-loan frontman Joselu has this evening been provided.

And the news will no doubt be met with widespread approval on the part of the Real fanbase.

The name of striker Joselu has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines in Madrid over the course of the last 24 hours.

This comes after the 33-year-old proved himself the hero, in bagging both of Los Blancos’ goals en route to a 2-0 downing of Getafe.

This took his tally for the campaign to a commendable 12 goals, and two assists.

Such figures look all the more impressive, though, when taking into account the fact that Joselu is far from the first-choice centre-forward option in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.

On Friday, it should in turn come as little surprise to hear of those in the boardroom at the Santiago Bernabéu being more than happy with the efforts of the summer addition to the club’s ranks.

Joselu is currently on loan in Madrid, from Espanyol.

The deal also features an option to buy, and, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, the Real hierarchy have every intention of activating as much.

As per a report from Relevo, the Spanish international has made a wonderful impression in the dressing room in Madrid.

A firm favourite of players and coaching staff alike, it is therefore assured that ‘at Real Madrid there is no debate with him and he will continue to wear white next year as well’.
