Carlo Ancelotti’s squad are of course currently in the process of seeing out their final preparations for an absolutely crucial outing on Wednesday night.
The matchup in question will see Real play host to German heavyweights Bayern Munich, in the 2nd leg of the Champions League semi-final tie between the clubs.
Ahead of Los Blancos’ latest high-profile evening on the continent, president Florentino Pérez on Tuesday met up with the club’s players, to provide some words of encouragement.
As much gave rise to a number of brilliant photographs, one of which saw Pérez sharing a joke and a laugh with Vinícius Jr. and Federico Valverde.
And quick to showcase his appreciation for the image was a player whose name has taken its place front and centre in the headlines in Madrid over the course of recent weeks.
The individual in question? Franco Mastantuono.
River Plate sensation Mastantuono is widely reported to have made his way to the top of the transfer wishlist of the Santiago Bernabéu brass, with some outlets this week having gone as far as to suggest that the 16-year-old has already given the green light to a move.
Safe to say, then, that it did not go at all unnoticed on the part of the Blancos faithful upon Mastantuono taking to Real Madrid’s official Instagram account, to ‘like’ the photo of two players whom he could soon call teammates…
