Barcelona view Premier League pair as leading targets to replace Robert Lewandowski

The powers that be at La Liga giants Barcelona have turned their attentions towards the Premier League, amid an ongoing search for reinforcements at centre-forward.

That’s according to Catalan outlet OnzeTv3, who point towards the Barca brass as being on the lookout for a potential replacement for Robert Lewandowski.

Though club and player alike have continued to insist that a parting of ways is not on the cards this summer, Polish international Lewandowski has continued to be linked with a move away from the Camp Nou.

As much comes owing to both the fact that he is set to turn 36 later this year, and the former Bayern Munich man’s hefty wages.

And, should a buyer for Lewandowski ultimately be found, Deco and his team of directors are ready to seek out his successor in England.

As per the aforementioned OnzeTv3, Liverpool star Darwin Nuñez has been identified as Barca’s first-choice attacking target.

And next on the wishlist of the Blaugrana comes a player with ample experience of La Liga, in the form of Newcastle United standout Alexander Isak.

It now remains to be seen whether moves for either are financially viable for the cash-strapped Catalan heavyweights.
