Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr. bags La Liga award

A headline member of the attacking ranks at Real Madrid has this evening secured for himself a prestigious individual prize.

The player in question? Vinícius Jr.

Wide-man Vinícius, for his part, is in the midst of a scintillating stretch of form at club level, which has seen the Brazilian rack up six goals in his last four appearances for Real.

Five such goals have come in three outings in La Liga, across the month of March.

This includes a brace in a 2-2 draw with Valencia, and a further double in the final round of fixtures leading into the international break, en route to a 4-2 triumph at Osasuna.

In turn, on Friday, it should come as little surprise to hear of Vinícius’ recent brilliance being aptly rewarded.

As per a statement across the website and social media platforms of La Liga, the 23-year-old has been voted the division’s Player of the Month for March:

Vinícius will of course be expected to feature from the off once more this weekend, when Real Madrid see out their schedule for March in a meeting with Athletic Club on Sunday night.
