Real Madrid star Álvaro Carreras has sent a message of gratitude the way of teammate Kylian Mbappé. This comes after the pair combined to devastating effect in Los Blancos’ most recent outing.
José Mourinho’s troops were of course back in action on the domestic front on Saturday evening, welcoming Rayo Vallecano to the Santiago Bernabéu for a La Liga clash.
When all was said and done, Real emerged on the right side of a 4-1 result, to temporarily draw level with arch rivals Barcelona atop the table.
The aforementioned Carreras and Mbappé featured from the off in the fixture, and both played starring roles in the eventual outcome.
After the former won an early penalty which was converted by the latter, Mbappé turned creator, laying on Carreras to double the hosts’ lead during the first-half.
And as alluded to above, the full-back has since publicly thanked his superstar teammate for his creative efforts. Taking to his official Instagram account, Carreras unveiled a photo of he and Mbappé celebrating, accompanied by the caption:
‘Thank you for the gift, bro.’
