Real Madrid star considering summer exit

A high-profile member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid is giving serious consideration to seeking out a summer departure from the club.

That’s according to Marca, who have on Sunday provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Spain’s capital.

The player with his sights set on a new adventure comes in the form of Dani Ceballos.

Spaniard Ceballos, for his part, has endured an altogether difficult season to date.

After envisioning a prominent role for himself upon putting pen to paper on a new long-term contract at the Santiago Bernabéu last summer, the former Arsenal man has since been restricted to a bit-part role.

Amid star-studded competition in the form of Toni Kroos, Luka Modrić, Eduardo Camavinga, Federico Valverde, and Aurélien Tchouaméni, Ceballos has been afforded just four starts across all competitions.

And, though a regular contributor off the bench, it would appear that the 27-year-old is growing increasingly frustrated with his situation under the watch of boss Carlo Ancelotti.

In turn, as per the aforementioned Marca:

‘All of this has led him to rethink the situation and look to the exit door in search of solutions.’

Though Ceballos has not ‘given up in the slightest’ on his stint in Madrid, he is desperate to feel important, a wish which may leave the midfield technician with little choice but to seek out an exit this summer.
