Barcelona & Raphinha on summer collision course

A key member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona could well be set for a falling out with the club this summer.

The player in question? Raphinha.

The name of wide-man Raphinha has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the last 24 hours.

This comes after the Brazilian proved himself the decisive figure in Barcelona’s triumphant post-international break return to action.

En route to an eventual 1-0 victory over Las Palmas, Raphinha bagged the only goal of the evening, amid a fine individual display.

And yet, just a day on, the former Leeds United man’s uncertain future has nevertheless returned to the fore in a major way.

This comes amid claims that Raphinha has made his stance on a potential summer exit from Catalunya crystal clear to those in a position of power in Barcelona.

As per a report from Diario Sport:

‘Raphinha continues to vindicate his intention not to leave the Blaugrana club’ in the near future.

And yet, amid intense interest in the signature of the attacker by way of the Saudi Pro League, it is reiterated that ‘Barça is willing to listen to offers for him’.

In fact, Sport go as far as to suggest that, ‘if an offer arrives, the club will push him to leave’.

With Raphinha determined to stay put and prove himself worthy of Barcelona’s famed colours, the two parties could well be on their way towards a summer collision course.
