La Liga giants Real Madrid have today been afforded some altogether timely positive news on the personnel front.
This, of course, comes fresh off what has proven something of a nightmare 24 hours for the coaching staff at Valdebebas.
First, word was forthcoming that Thibaut Courtois had suffered a serious setback in his recovery from an ACL injury, since forced under the knife as a result.
Then, just hours later, it was revealed that David Alaba had been forced to see a specialist, with his own efforts to recover from an ACL tear progressing more slowly than expected.
Safe to say, then, that all associated with Real were no doubt craving any form of encouraging news when it comes to Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.
And, as alluded to above, this afternoon, precisely that has been forthcoming.
As confirmed by way of a series of photos, Éder Militão, the third member of Los Blancos’ ACL contingent, played his part in a match between ranks at the club’s training ground on Wednesday.
This came as the Brazilian’s first taste of remotely competitive action since all the way back in August, amid hopes that Militão will go on to return to matchday duties with the rest of Ancelotti’s ranks in time for the club’s upcoming Champions League double-header with Manchester City.
