Real Madrid fans pin blame on Carlo Ancelotti after dropped points in Madrid Derby

Real Madrid’s supporters have taken to social media in numbers on Sunday evening, to reveal their frustration with head coach Carlo Ancelotti.

This comes after their side dropped two crucial points, amid their ongoing pursuit of La Liga supremacy.

Los Blancos marked their return to action a short time ago, welcoming arch rivals Atlético to the Santiago Bernabéu, for the latest edition of the Madrid Derby.

And, with a full 92 minutes on the clock, Real looked on course for all three points.

This came owing to a solitary strike on the part of Man of the Match Brahim Díaz, netted from close range with 20 minutes on the clock.

Just when it appeared as though Atlético were dead and buried, however, Marcos Llorente popped up with an equaliser deep into injury-time, ensuring that the spoils were shared upon the full-time whistle sounding in Spain’s capital.

Real Madrid now remain just two points clear of Girona, ahead of the showdown between the two sides next weekend.

And, safe to say, the Blancos faithful are not happy.

Flooding to social media post-match, fans of Sunday’s hosts have taken firm aim at a whole host of their side’s stars.

None, however, has been more widely targeted than Carlo Ancelotti.

Blamed for Los Merengues losing control of proceedings owing to a host of late substitutions, the Italian tactician has seen his decision-making torn to shreds, with just some of the highlights from ‘X’ showcased below:
