Atlético Madrid star Antoine Griezmann has taken to social media late on Sunday night, to have some fun at the expense of his side’s biggest rivals.
Atlético, of course, marked their return to action a short time ago.
Riding high amid a five-game win streak across all competitions, Diego Simeone’s troops made the short trip to the Santiago Bernabéu, for a showdown with Real Madrid.
With their hosts heavily depleted owing to injury, and Atléti having sent Real packing from the Copa del Rey just two weeks ago, the Rojiblancos no doubt fancied their chances of emerging from the clash with something to show for their efforts.
And, when all was said and done, this is precisely what they managed.
After Brahim Díaz appeared to have done enough to secure all three points for Carlo Ancelotti and co. courtesy of a 20th-minute opener, Marcos Llorente broke Real hearts deep into injury-time, in nodding home off the underside of the crossbar.
And one individual who evidently drew great satisfaction from the nature of Atlético’s leveller comes in the form of Antoine Griezmann.
Taking to his official X account a short time ago, France international Griezmann unveiled a simple but effective post, featuring little more than two laughing emojis:
