A fresh insight into the ongoing efforts of La Liga giants Real Madrid to land Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies has been provided this afternoon.
It is of course common knowledge across the world of football that defender Davies has been identified as the prime target of those in a position of power at Real Madrid with a view to the summer.
Amid the collective agreement that fresh blood is needed at left-back, the Canadian has been earmarked as the perfect addition, for present and future alike.
Davies himself, meanwhile, is understood to be keen on the prospect of a move to Spain’s capital, refusing to put pen to paper on fresh terms with Bayern as a result.
And yet, the German champions continue to stand firm, adamant that their defensive standout will be going nowhere any time soon.
Florentino Pérez and co, as a result, have been left with little choice but to rethink their approach.
And, as alluded to above, on Tuesday, an insight into one such strategy to have been thought up by the Blancos brass has been revealed.
The info comes courtesy of German outlet SportBild, who point towards Real being ready to sweeten their next offer for Davies, by way of the inclusion of a player in part-exchange.
The individual in question? Rafa Marín.
Stopper Marín, for his part, is currently plying his trade with Alavés, on loan from Madrid until the close of the campaign.
The 21-year-old has come in for widespread praise for his performances, with recent reports having hinted at none other than Bayern keeping a close eye on his development with a view to a future bid.
Real, in turn, are ready to lend the Bundesliga giants a ‘helping hand’, courtesy of Marín’s inclusion in any deal for no.1 target Davies.
