A somewhat surprising update on the future of Real Madrid youngster Arda Güler has been forthcoming online this afternoon.
The info comes by way of Diario Sport, who point towards Güler being in line for a potential January exit from the club.
Güler, for his part, has of course endured a difficult start to life in Spain’s capital, since his arrival from Turkish giants Fenerbahce last summer.
Owing to a string of fitness problems, he has to date been restricted to just a pair of appearances in the colours of Real.
After again being overlooked en route to the club’s comeback victory over Almería at the weekend, the midfield prodigy, in turn, made clear his frustration, throwing his bib to the ground at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Such actions paint the picture of a player who is evidently of the opinion that he is deserving of more regular minutes on the pitch.
And, if the latest media chatter is anything to go by, as much could well come Güler’s way over the 2nd half of the campaign.
It may not, however, come under the watch of Carlo Ancelotti.
As per the aforementioned Sport, word is mounting that the 18-year-old could be farmed out on loan – likely to another La Liga club – until the summer.
Boss Ancelotti, as things stand, views the likes of Jude Bellingham, Brahim Díaz, and even Dani Ceballos as being ahead of Güler in his midfield pecking order.
With as much unlikely to change drastically over the months ahead, it has therefore been suggested at Real that the Turk could benefit from a temporary change of scene, to ensure that his development is not halted whilst glued to the bench in Madrid.
