Raúl de Tomás on Real Madrid’s radar

Espanyol striker Raúl de Tomás is on Real Madrid’s shortlist, according to AS.

Real Madrid have shortlisted de Tomás as an alternative if the club fails to land Erling Haaland in the summer. Luka Jović and Mariano Díaz are seemingly not in Carlo Ancelotti’s plans for next season. As a result, de Tomás, who is the joint second-top scorer in La Liga with 15 goals, is reportedly a target.

De Tomás is a Real Madrid youth product. He was sold permanently by the club to Benfica for €20m euros in 2019, but has been a consistent performer for Espanyol upon his return to Spain the following year.

Real Madrid are also happy with Borja Mayoral’s performances out on loan at Getafe. Mayoral has found the back of the net six times in just 664 minutes for Getafe in the second-half of the season, and his good form could see him open up as an option for Madrid next season.
