Barcelona prepared to wait for Robert Lewandowski

As reported by Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are prepared to wait for Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski.

Club president Joan Laporta knows that it is not an easy operation, and is happy to let events unfold to see how to present an offer to the Poland international in the summer.

Lewandowski’s agent Pini Zahavi has met with Bayern this week to discuss the player’s future. Mundo Deportivo reports that the idea was to inform the German team of the player’s intentions to leave the club this summer for FC Barcelona, while Bayern club directors wanted to offer him a new deal.

Zahavi wanted to know Bayern’s intentions regarding the player’s asking price, however, no progress has been made, as Bayern told him that they do not want to sell the striker. The Bundesliga club want to extend Lewandowski’s contract, which expires in June 2023.
