After Pedri, Alberto Moleiro is the next UD Las Palmas talent on Barcelona’s radar. The club’s staff have given the go-ahead to a potential move, but according to Mundo Deportivo, Barça need to move quickly for the 18-year-old before the price of the operation skyrockets.
Last season, Barça made an offer of €10m for the attacking midfielder, but failed to reach an agreement with the Segunda club because of the variables included. Las Palmas say they have no need to sell the player right now. Moleiro has a contract for another three seasons and a release clause of €30m.
The deal has already become more expensive compared to last summer, but it could become even more expensive. Las Palmas, current leaders of the Second Division, have included a clause in Moleiro’s contract and if the club was promoted back to the top flight, the fee would rise to €60m.
According to AS, Las Palmas are expecting offers for the player this winter and a deal could be agreed with future suitors by June 2023.
