Carlo Ancelotti has a full squad to choose from going into tonight’s UEFA Super Cup final against Eintracht Frankfurt.
In attack, Karim Benzema and Vinicius are set to start after a brilliant 2021-22 campaign. Fede Valverde is expected to retain his place on the right wing in Helsinki.
As reported by AS, Real Madrid will line-up as follows:
Courtois – Carvajal, Militão, Alaba, Mendy – Casemiro, Modrić, Kroos – Valverde, Benzema, Vinicius.
That was the team that started the Champions League final against Liverpool in May.
Madrid, Champions League winners for a record eighth time in 2021/22, their 14th European Cup overall, are bidding to win a record-equalling fifth UEFA Super Cup.
Frankfurt, UEFA Europa League champions last season, are playing in the competition for the first time.
The sides’ only previous fixture was in 1960, when Madrid beat Frankfurt 7-3 in the European Cup final at Hampden Park in Glasgow.
