Ousmane Dembélé to miss France’s game against Denmark

Ousmane Dembélé will miss France’s final Nations League match against Denmark, report Marca.

Earlier this morning it was communicated that the Frenchman was complaining about a discomfort in his calf and cast was doubt over whether he would be fit to face Denmark.

Yesterday he trained alone in order to avoid putting pressure on his injury and today he decided to pull out of training all together.

Dembélé does not want to repeat the mistakes of the past and put at risk his chances of playing at the World Cup, meaning he won’t gamble his fitness by making an appearance against Denmark.

The 25-year-old told French radio RMC that he had “lost five years” of his career due to injuries and wants to remain cautious.

With Frenkie de Jong, Memphis Depay, Jules Koundé and Ronald Araújo all sidelined for the next few weeks, Barcelona cannot afford to lose another of their key players.
