Jude Bellingham wants Real Madrid move

Jude Bellingham wants to play for Real Madrid, according to a report produced by Marca. The reigning La Liga champions want to sign the Borussia Dortmund player in 2023.

The England international is the favourite to be the club’s next midfield signing. He would be brought in to add strength to the young midfield trio of Eduardo Camavinga, Fede Valverde and Aurelién Tchouaméni. Toni Kroos and Luka Modric don’t have long left in the Real Madrid shirt and Los Blancos reportedly see Bellingham as the ideal midfielder going forward.

Madrid asked Bellingham not to renew with Dortmund

Real Madrid directors previously asked Bellingham not to renew his contract with Borussia Dortmund, as sooner or later Madrid would make a move. Bellingham kept his word. Despite the multiple approaches from the Premier League, he decided against listening to the offers and chose not to sign a new deal with the Bundesliga side. The 19-year-old’s current deal with Dortmund expires in 2025.

Borussia Dortmund, with Aki Watzke at the helm, are a club Madrid have worked with in recent times. Over the past few days, a supposed valuation of the midfielder of around €150m has been leaked, an amount far from Bellingham’s real price. Communication between the two clubs is fluid and, as happened with Erling Haaland and other players, Madrid’s hierarchy are aware of all the movement around Bellingham, just as the German club are aware of Real Madrid’s interest.
