As communicated by the club’s official website, Nahuel Molina has joined Atlético Madrid from Udinese.
The 25-year-old right-back has been linked with Los Colchoneros for the last couple of weeks and the transfer was made official today.
Molina signed a five-year contract with the club and is part of Diego Simeone’s long-term plans.
It is still unclear whether Nehuén Pérez, who was initially being considered part of the deal, will stay at Udinese.
The Argentine centre-back is in Italy at the moment and is still contracted with Atléti. Udinese are trying to arrange a loan deal or transfer that would keep him at the club this coming season.
Nahuel Molina came through the Boca Juniors youth system before coming to Europe to sign for Udinese. He made 68 appearances for I Bianconeri over the past two years.
He played five times during Argentina’s 2021 Copa America campaign, which La Albiceleste won by defeating Brazil 1-0 in the final.
