Nottingham Forest make Real Betis’ William Carvalho their top priority

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Nottingham Forest are keen to sign William Carvalho from Real Betis.

The Reds have been in talks with the Andalucían side’s board about acquiring the Portuguese midfielder’s services for the upcoming season.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Betis have set a price tag between €8 and €10 million.

Nottingham Forest have also submitted an offer for Los Verdiblancos’ Álex Moreno. However, the fee was nowhere near what Betis were expecting, meaning as things stand, the William Carvalho deal seems more likely.

During this transfer window the 30-year-old has also been linked with Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray, as well as Silvio Berlusconi’s Monza that were promoted to Serie A this year.

William Carvalho has been playing for Real Betis since 2018 following his transfer from Sporting Lisbon. He has made over 130 appearances for the club in all competitions and was also a member of the team that won the Copa del Rey this year.
