Getafe have announced the signing of Mason Greenwood from Manchester United. The La Liga side have completed a late season-long loan deal for the 21-year-old English forward.
In August, United announced they had abandoned their plan to bring Greenwood back into Erik ten Hag’s first-team squad.
Greenwood, who has not played since January 22, 2022, had been subject to an internal investigation from Manchester United since February of this year when the UK’s Crown Prosecution Service discontinued its case against him for attempted rape, assault, and coercive control.
Italian outfit Lazio had also held talks over signing the player.
