Getafe are close to signing Mason Greenwood from Manchester United, according to The Athletic.
The La Liga club are said to be optimistic about getting the loan deal for the English forward over the line.
On August 21, United announced they had abandoned their plan to bring Greenwood back into Erik ten Hag’s first-team squad.
Greenwood, who has not played since January 22, 2022, had been subject to an internal investigation from Manchester United since February of this year when the UK’s Crown Prosecution Service discontinued its case against him for attempted rape, assault, and coercive control.
Italian outfit Lazio have also held talks over signing him.
