La Liga outfit Getafe have unveiled the club’s 2nd signing of what has been a busy day behind the scenes at the Estadio Coliseum. This comes amid confirmation of a deal being put in place for Johan Mojica.
Defender Mojica is for his part fresh off another prominent campaign in Spain’s top-flight in 2025/26. On the books of RCD Mallorca, the experienced left-back racked up 35 league appearances, chipping in with four assists along the way.
After Mallorca were condemned to a surprise relegation back to La Liga 2, however, speculation had long spread that the Colombian international was in line for a departure from Son Moix this summer.
And as alluded to above, on Thursday, precisely as much has been confirmed. As per a statement across Getafe’s official website and social media platforms:
‘Getafe CF has reached an agreement with RCD Mallorca for the transfer of Johan Mojica, who will join the Azulones for the upcoming season. The 33-year-old Colombian international arrives at the Coliseum to bolster the left flank and bring his experience to the squad. He will wear the blue and white jersey during the 2026/2027 season.’
Mojica’s arrival comes after Diego Rico made the call to depart Getafe earlier this summer, for La Liga rivals Osasuna.
