Martin Ødegaard wants to stay at Real Madrid for the 2021/22 season

According to The Athletic, Martin Ødegaard wants to be at Real Madrid for the upcoming season.

The Norwegian midfielder was wanted by Arsenal, where he just ended a 6-month loan spell. The Premier League club had decided to make an offer for the player after a successful loan stint in London, but have since backed out after learning of the playmaker’s decision.

The 22-year-old forced his loan move in January having played only nine games between the league and Champions League under former manager Zinedine Zidane.

Real Madrid are counting on Ødegaard as an important part of the new project that is being formed under Carlo Ancelotti.
