According to Fabrizio Romano, Atlético Madrid have turned down an opening bid from Manchester United for Kieran Trippier.
The Premier League club want to sign Trippier to provide competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the right-back role.
The price tag placed on the England international is approximately €40 million. Trippier won LaLiga with Atlético and has been outstanding for Diego Simeone’s side since joining from Tottenham.
The 30-year-old is currently playing for England at Euro 2020.
