Anton Meana has revealed on El Larguero that Marcelino will leave Athletic Club at the end of the season.
Marcelino joined Athletic in January last year, but the results have not been what both parties had hoped for.
Despite reaching a Copa del Rey final and winning a Spanish Super Cup, the team’s poor form in La Liga is set to bring an end to his reign in charge.
Marcelino is one of the leading candidates to lead the Spain national team if Luis Enrique decides to not renew his contract after this year’s World Cup.
