Manchester United consider signing Sergiño Dest from Barcelona

As reported by talkSport, Manchester United are interested in making a move for Sergiño Dest.

The Red Devils are looking for ways to urgently strengthen their backline following two shock defeats against Brighton and Brentford in their first two games of the 2022/23 Premier League season.

Although Manchester United have two right-backs already in the form of Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot, it appears as though Erik ten Hag does not trust either of them to start week in and week out.

Even though the American defender wants to stay and fight for his place at Barcelona, the Catalan outfit have been looking for ways to offload Sergiño Dest this summer as he is not part of Xavi’s future plans.

As it was reported yesterday, Barcelona have begun talks with Juan Foyth’s agents regarding a possible transfer to replace Sergiño Dest. The Argentine defender has a €42 million buy-out clause and Villarreal are not interested in selling him.
