Atlético Madrid unlikely to part ways with Álvaro Morata – unless a club meets their asking price

As reported by AS, Álvaro Morata is unlikely to leave Atlético Madrid during this transfer window, unless a club comes in with an offer that cannot be turned down.

The Spaniard returned from a two-year loan spell with Juventus this past summer. The Italian outfit had a €35 million option to purchase Morata, however they did not have the budget to pay it, nor did Atléti budge from the price that was in the agreement.

Despite numerous clubs showing interest in signing him, including Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, Los Collchoneros are unlikely to part ways with Morata for a low price, especially considering his current form.

The 29-year-old scored twice in Atléti’s La Liga opener, which they won 4-2 against Getafe.

Knowing the state of the market and that we are nearing the closing of the transfer window, it is believed that Atlético Madrid will not consider offers below €60-70 million.
