Luis Enrique on Pep Guardiola: “I don’t think there could be a better coach for Spain.”

Speaking to Marca, Spain national team manager Luis Enrique gave his opinion on Pep Guardiola one day taking over the role as Spain boss.

“I would love to see it. I don’t think there could be a better coach for Spain. I’m sure he would be a great coach.”

Guardiola has said he plans to leave Manchester City when his current contract runs out in 2023. The former Barcelona boss said his next ambition is to take charge of a national team.

“A national team is the next step if there is a possibility,” he said at an XP Investimentos event, as reported by ESPN on Wednesday.
