Lamine Yamal views Barcelona summer signing as a ‘mentor’: ‘He has integrated into his inner circle’

Barcelona star Lamine Yamal has placed a member of the summer recruitment drive at the club into a personal ‘mentoring’ role with a view to the remainder of his career.

The Blaugrana star in question? Rodri.

Midfielder Rodri of course took his talents to Catalunya’s capital back in August, in a high-profile transfer from Premier League giants Manchester City.

The 30-year-old has since quickly integrated himself into Hansi Flick’s XI and the Camp Nou dressing room alike, already considered a key figure in Barcelona.

And as alluded to above, one individual who appears to be enjoying particularly significant benefits through Rodri’s presence is fellow countryman Lamine Yamal.

As per a report from Tot Costa on Catalan outlet Catalunya Radio, amid what has been a spectacular individual opening to the campaign:

‘Rodri is taking on a very special role with Lamine Yamal. The Barça star has a new mentor in the dressing room, a player he listens to carefully and has integrated directly into his inner circle.’
