La Liga President Javier Tebas: “I have a feeling that Kylian Mbappé has signed for Real Madrid”

La Liga President Javier Tebas has revealed to the press today that he thinks PSG star Kylian Mbappé has already signed for Real Madrid.

His suspicions came after PSG’s 1-1 draw with Rennes on Sunday. Manager Luis Enrique took off Mbappé with his side chasing an equaliser and this decision raised questions from the supporters. In the post-match press conference Enrique told reporters that the team need to get used to playing without the Frenchman and this further raised suspicions that the 25-year-old has already signed for Los Blancos.

The fact that the Ligue 1 side took off their main man, when trying to get themselves back in the game was a question in itself, but it also raised questions about whether they were trying to reduce the risk of Mbappé picking up an injury, which would jeopardise this impending deal.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Tebas believes Mbappe is already Madrid’s latest ‘Galactico’ and has dismissed suggestions that the club will need to sell players to accommodate the player’s high salary.

He said: “I have feeling that Kylian Mbappé has signed for Real Madrid. He’ll be another star in La Liga like Bellingham, Vinicius Jr, Griezmann, and Lewandowski.

Madrid have been very prudent financially and have prepared for the signing of Mbappe. Their strategy is not short-term.

They don’t have to sell anyone to afford Mbappe. They really don’t.”
