With two weeks to go before the transfer window closes, Reinier is desperate to find a club for the new season.
Real Madrid are still waiting to finalise a loan deal, but Real Valladolid, who were the favourites to sign the attacking midfielder, have gone cold on the move, as reported by AS.
There are now two new clubs in the race to sign Reinier: Almería and Girona.
Reinier, who was on loan at Borussia Dortmund, is having to train with Raúl’s Real Madrid Castilla team. The initial intention was that on his return from the tour of the United States the club would finalise a loan move, but the league has begun without finding an agreement with another club.
Both the player and his entourage had reportedly accepted a move to Valladolid. He was previously linked with a move to Benfica but is now expected to stay in Spain.
